On Saturday afternoon, Superintendent of Police Belal Hossain inaugurated the tree planting at the initiative of the district police. . He said that the importance of large trees in combating the adverse effects of climate change is immense. It helps in reducing global warming. It contributes significantly to reducing the risk of natural disasters. There is no alternative to trees in protecting the environment. The joint initiative of protecting the environment and making it green is very important. Through this program, a national tree plantation program will be launched as a milestone to encourage it. Moreover, he called for the establishment of tree plantation and maintenance to combat the adverse effects of the climate environment and to make it livable. Additional District Superintendent of Police and police officers along with police staff were present at the time. At the same time, the tree plantation program was inaugurated on a self-initiative and joint basis by the Sadar Upazila Administration, Upazila Agriculture Department, and Pirganj, Ranishankail, Haripur, and Baliadangi Upazila Administrations, as part of the tree plantation program.
