Two people were killed when a tractor ran over them in Saraile

Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a brick-laden tractor and a battery-operated auto-rickshaw in Jadavpur area of Shahbazpur-Shahzadapur regional road of Brahmanbaria’s Sarail upazila on Saturday afternoon. The deceased are autorickshaw driver Al Amin (14) and passenger Apan Chandra Das (14). Son of Alamgir Mia of village Shahbazpur of Al Amin Upazila and Apan Chandra Das son of Omelesh Chandra Das of Dhitpur village. Local sources said that when a brick-laden tractor collided with a battery-powered auto-rickshaw at noon, Al Amin fell on the road and was crushed by the wheel, and Al Amin died on the spot. When Apan Chandra Das was injured, he was brought to Sarail Upazila Health Complex by the doctor on duty who declared him dead. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sarail police station. Aslam Hossain confirmed the truth of the incident. He said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving information about the accident. Two deaths have been confirmed till last report.
