A tree plantation program has been inaugurated in Joypurhat district under the 25 crore tree plantation program in five years to implement the government’s election promise.
These tree plantations were organized by the Roads and Townships Department, Roads Division, Joypurhat on Wednesday afternoon.
Joypurhat Roads and Townships Department Executive Engineer Md. Rajes Khan presided over the event, and District Council Administrator Masud Rana Pradhan, Additional Superintendent of Police Arif Hossain, District Safe Roads Chai President Nur E Alam, Vice President Nurul Islam Ranju, Roads and Highways Sub-Divisional Engineer Mehdi Khan and others were present.
5,000 different forest and fruit trees will be planted in the district on an ongoing basis.
