Professor Mamun said this at the final match of the “Double LED TV Football Tournament-2026” organized by the youth society in Panchthubi Union of Adarsha Sadar Upazila of Comilla.
The final game, held at the Panchthubi Union Parishad grounds on Friday afternoon (April 17, 2026) in a festive atmosphere, brought the entire area to life with the presence of hundreds of sports-loving spectators.
The chief guest of the program was Professor AKM Emdadul Haque Mamun, Nayebe Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Comilla Metropolitan City, Chairman of Insaf Housing and Developers Pvt. Ltd. and Adarsh Sadar Upazila Chairman candidate. In his speech, he urged the youth to keep away from drugs and crime and come forward to build a healthy society through sports.
Panchthubi Union Chairman candidate and Union Jamaat Ameer Maulana Kazi Abdul Quader, Ibn Taymiyya School and College lecturer Md. Zahirul Islam Bhuiyan, and prominent social worker Dr. Md. Nasir Hasan were present as special guests.
There was great enthusiasm among the locals surrounding the final game. People from different classes and professions of the neighborhood participated in it and enjoyed the game. The event is not limited to just a sports competition but also plays an important role in promoting social harmony and involving the youth in positive activities.
