Dhaka, 19 April 2024:
Foreign Minister and Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League. Hashan Mahmud said that the dying Sheikh Hasina is moving the country and the nation forward by removing all the obstacles.
He said that Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina did not get upset after repeatedly returning from the valley of death, instead she took forward the caravan of people’s struggle with a more solid position, and made the country sit on the seat of dignity and honor in the heart of the world.
After attending the 9th Hour Ocean Conference held in Greece, he said this in the chief guest’s speech during the unveiling of the book ‘Bhubanjora Sheikh Hasina’s Asankhani’ written by journalist Zafar Wazed, who was awarded the Ekushey Padak by the Director General of Press Institute Bangladesh-PIB, in the meeting room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital on Friday morning. Officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PIB and media representatives participated in the event.
The foreign minister said that leadership like Sheikh Hasina is rare in today’s world. He is not only the leader of the country, he is the world leader today. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that Sheikh Hasina is not only her inspiration but also her children. India’s Priyanka Gandhi hugs Sheikh Hasina and calls her her inspiration. The ambassador of Palestine said that if there was a Sheikh Hasina in the Arab world, the war in Gaza could have been stopped.
Hasan said, not only that, when Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina attends any world meeting, she becomes the center of attention. The Foreign Minister thanked writer Zafar Wazed for preparing the collection of essays ‘Bhubanjora Sheikh Hasina’s Asankhani’.
285 Myanmar soldiers will return, 150 Bangladeshis will return
During the exchange of views with the journalists, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Hasan Mahmud said that 285 members of Myanmar’s border guard police and army who have taken refuge in Bangladesh have been given clearance to return by sea on a Myanmar ship. On April 22, 150 Bangladeshis stuck in Myanmar who agreed to take them back by ship will also return on the same ship. However, the ship’s journey depends on the sea and the situation in Myanmar.
BNP’s biggest political weakness is to protest to foreigners
Awami League joint general secretary Hasan Mahmud said, “BNP is the biggest political weakness of BNP to picket foreign embassies again.” If the source of power in Bangladesh goes to the foreigners instead of the people, the foreigners will not put the BNP in power. And Awami League believes in the power of the people. The people voted and elected Awami League and gave the responsibility of running the country. As a result, the speech of BNP leaders seems like a circus.
