A H Liton Thakurgaon Correspondent: Thakurgaon University’s academic activities for the year 2026-2027 are starting, it was learned from Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Israfil Shaheen. He gave this information at a meeting with local media workers at the Thakurgaon Press Club auditorium on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at noon. Professor Dr. Israfil Shaheen shed light on the important role of the media in education, research, cultural practice, and building a modern knowledge-based society. He said that the initial preparations of the university have already been successfully completed. With the aim of developing the university as an international standard university, he seeks the cooperation of people from all walks of life to maintain the glory of this region. The meeting was presided over by ​Acting President of Thakurgaon Press Club Lutfar Rahman Mithu. Senior journalist Abdul Latif, media workers of various print and electronic media working in the district were present at the time.
