Pabna Correspondent: A 3-day Land Service Fair has begun in Pabna with the theme “People-friendly Automated Land Management; Protected Land, Prosperous Future”.
A colorful rally was held on this occasion on Tuesday (May 19) morning. The rally went through the main roads of the city and ended at the Sadar Upazila Land Office. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman virtually inaugurated the fair there. Present at the time were Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam, District Council Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Zahurul Islam Bishu, District Council Chief Executive Officer Mahfuza Sultana, Zonal Settlement Officer Mohammad Noor-e-Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Yasmin Monira, Additional Superintendent of Police Sadar Circle Shariful Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tamara Tasbiha, Assistant Commissioner (Land) S. M. Fuad, Press Club President Akhtaruzzaman Akhtar, General Secretary Zahurul Islam, District BNP Member Secretary and District Bar President Advocate Maksudur Rahman Masud, publisher of online magazine Notun Chokh and district representative of Bangla TV SM Alam and other dignitaries.
Various services including land registration, verification of ledgers, payment of land development tax, e-registration application, online land information services and complaint reception are being provided at the fair. In addition, information centers and consultation booths have been set up to make the general public aware of land management.
The organizers said that this fair has been organized with the aim of making digital land services easy and fast for the people.
