Tangail in 3 clinics sealed drive fined 1 lakh 55 thousand taka

Md. Anisur Rahman Shelly, North Tangail Correspondent: Three private clinics have been sealed in Tangail due to lack of valid approval in a mobile court drive. At the same time, a hospital has been fined 1 lakh 55 thousand taka for irregularities.

The drive was conducted at various private clinics and hospitals in Tangail Municipality on Tuesday (August 4) afternoon. The drive was led by Tangail Civil Surgeon Dr. FM Mahbubul Alam.

Executive Magistrate of the District Commissioner’s Office Mosh. Farhana Arefin Jui was present at the time.

City Hospital, Tangail Clinic and Teachers Hospital and Mecca-Medina Eye Hospital were sealed due to lack of valid approval in the drive.

In addition, Khidmah Specialized Hospital was fined 1 lakh 55 thousand taka for evidence of approval-related errors and various irregularities.

Civil Surgeon Dr. FM Mahbubul Alam said that although there are more than 600 private clinics and hospitals in the district, only 104 have legal approval.

Such campaigns will be conducted regularly to close down unapproved institutions and ensure the quality of healthcare.
