The Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection has fined three companies for the crime of selling shoes at high prices in Brahmanbaria. Assistant Director of Consumer Rights Protection Directorate, Brahmanbaria office on Thursday afternoon. Mehdi Hasan conducted this campaign.
During the raid, three shoe shops namely Elegance, Golden Miles and Step (Foot Print) on Faridul Huda Road in the municipal area were fined. The three companies were fined a total of 23,000 rupees in the raid.

Mehdi Hasan said, to keep the prices of daily necessities stable and against adulterated products, operations are being conducted in the market. In the continuation of this operation, three shoe shops are cheating consumers by placing price tags higher than the fixed price on the shoes in order to make more profit.
