An important exchange of views organized by the Borhanuddin Upazila branch of the Bangladesh Nationalist Rural Doctors Forum was held.
It was held at the Borhanuddin Upazila BNP office on Saturday, October 4, at 12 noon. The meeting focused on strengthening the organization’s activities and fruitful discussions on various organizational issues.
Hafiz Ibrahim, former Member of Parliament (MP) of Bhola-2 constituency, was present as the chief guest at the event. In his speech, he emphasized organizational unity and standing by the people.
The guest spoke about the recent political and social context. He said, “I have always worked for the development of the area. In my long political life, I have no bad name except development.” He called rural doctors as the first-line servants of the society and urged people to maintain their trust in them.
​In addition, the chief guest pointed to a special group in his speech and said, “Jamaat Islami is deceiving people in the name of Islam. The common people are being misled using religion, which is completely unexpected and condemnable. Everyone should be careful about such propaganda.”
​The meeting was presided over by Md. Aliullah, President of the Borhanuddin Upazila branch of the Bangladesh Nationalist Rural Doctors Forum. The organization’s General Secretary A. Halim Talukder skillfully moderated the meeting.
​Senior Joint Convener of Borhanuddin Upazila BNP Sarwar Alam Khan, Member Secretary Kazi Md. Azam, Senior Vice President of Municipal BNP Ali Akbar Pintu and former Chairman of Boro Manika Union Parishad Al Emran Khokon were present at the meeting as special guests.
Leaders and activists of the affiliated organizations of Bangladesh Nationalist Rural Doctors Forum from different unions of the upazila participated in the meeting. They discussed ways to expand the scope of the organization’s activities, improve the quality of rural healthcare, and address organizational challenges. The speakers expressed hope that this forum will play an important role in establishing the fair rights of rural doctors.
