Since its inception, RAB has been playing a very pioneering role in arresting various types of criminals. Since its inception, RAB has always been active in arresting murder cases, drug dealers, armed terrorists, kidnappers, robbers, extortionists and fraudsters. The accused involved in sensitive incidents and weapons cases have been arrested as soon as possible and brought under the law.

About a week before the last Eid-ul-Azha, victim Abdul Mannan (30) had a personal argument with his friend and the main accused in the murder case, Md. Rajan Dewan Sumon alias Bagha (27). In this context, yesterday, 07/06/2026, at approximately 13:00 pm, when the victim Abdul Mannan was on his way to Mir Hazirbagh Mess for lunch, he saw the accused Rajan Dewan Sumon and other accused beating a madman. At that time, the accused started arguing and fighting with the victim Abdul Mannan. At one stage, the accused Rajan Dewan Sumon, out of a premeditated enmity, stabbed the victim Abdul Mannan with a sharp knife along his left leg below the hip, causing serious and bloody injuries. The victim fell to the ground. Later, local people rescued the victim and took him to Dhaka Medical College, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. In this incident, the victim’s elder sister filed a complaint with the DMP, Dhaka’s Gendaria Police Station, and Gendaria Police Station Case No. 07, dated 08/06/2026 under Section 302/201/34 of the Penal Code, 1860 was registered. The investigating officer of the case sent a request to RAB-10, Dhaka to identify and arrest the accused involved in the incident. In continuation of this, on 08/06/2026 at approximately 01.10 am, the RAB-10 operation team, based on secret information and with the help of information technology, arrested one of the main accused in the case, Md. Rajan Dewan Sumon alias Bagha (27), father- deceased Monir Hossain, resident of Namapara, Gendaria Police Station, DMP, Dhaka.

In another operation, based on secret information, a smart operation team of RAB-10, CPC-1, Jatrabari Camp conducted separate operations in Kamalapur and Jatrabari areas of the capital and arrested three professional female drug dealers along with 411 (four hundred and eleven) bottles of alleged Phensidyl, whose estimated market value is 16,44,000/- (Sixteen lakh forty-four thousand taka). Initial interrogation revealed that they have been involved in drug trafficking for a long time. They used to collect illegal drugs from various border and other areas of the country and bring them to the capital Dhaka and sell them at higher prices to various drug users and retailers. This operation is a testament to RAB-10’s continuous intelligence work, timely response and efficiency. This is a commendable example of uncovering other criminal activities including drug recovery. If you have information about illegal weapons, drug trafficking or criminal activities anywhere, please inform RAB. Your information can be a safeguard for a family or a life.

Necessary legal action against the arrested accused is in process. RAB-10 has been following a zero tolerance policy against such crimes. RAB is always determined to maintain law and order and bring the criminals under the law.
