07/05/2026, at approximately 21:50, a smart operation team of RAB-10, CPSC, Lalbagh Camp conducted a raid in the area under Shyampur police station of Dhaka based on information received through secret information about illegal drug buying and selling. In the raid, 05 (five) rounds of bullets and 01 (one) magazine along with 01 (one) foreign pistol were recovered from a residential hotel in the Postgola area under Shyampur police station of Dhaka and 01 (one) person was arrested. The name of the arrested person is known to be Aripur Rahman Nayan (41), father – Md. Arash Ali, Karimullarbagh, Police Station – Shyampur, DMP Dhaka. At this time, 03 (three) mobile phones were seized from him. Initial interrogation revealed that the accused is not only involved in arms dealing, but also has 02 (two) cases registered against him under the Explosive Substances Act including robbery and fighting at Shyampur Police Station, DMP Dhaka. He is a professional illegal armed terrorist. He has been carrying out terrorist activities in Shyampur and other areas for quite some time by threatening them with illegal weapons. Necessary legal action is being taken against the arrested Assam. RAB-10 has been following zero tolerance against such crimes. RAB is always determined to maintain law and order and bring criminals under the law, said Md. Anwar Hossain, Senior Assistant Director (Media) of Rapid Action Battalion-10.
