Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Ansar and Village Defense Forces are playing an important role in protecting national resources. The government is working to make this force smarter and more modern. He said this at an Ansar-VDP rally in Gazipur’s Safipur on Monday (February 12).
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the rally of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces at Safipur in Gazipur after 10 am. He visited the parade there in an open-top jeep. Go around and see the gathering of various contingents. Various units of Ansar greeted the Prime Minister through a parade. He accepted the greetings of Ansar and Village Defense Forces. At this time, the head of government awarded Ansar medals to 180 people of different levels for their special contribution to the army. At the Ansar Academy function, the Prime Minister said, Ansar and village defense forces must fulfill their due responsibilities to protect the society from terrorism, militancy and drugs. This force will become smart and modern. The government is working towards that goal. Meanwhile, the head of government announced the construction of a sports complex for this force.

Ansar and village defense forces should be vigilant against any evil activities to protect public safety. While praising Ansar forces, he said that Ansar and village defense forces have performed their duties very efficiently in any national need. They have played a very important role in protecting the national wealth by resisting the destructive program of BNP-Jamaat in the name of preventing elections.
