After Friday prayers at the Madinatul Ulum Qawmi Madrasa in Nagbari Naopara, a special prayer and Milad mahfil was organized for the late father of Kalihati Press Club convener and journalist Rashid Ahmed Abbasi, Haji Habibur Rahman, and the recently departed Upazila Executive Officer Md. Khairul Islam.
Kalihati Press Club convener Rashid Abbasi, Kalihati Reporters Unity President Md. Anisur Rahman Shelly, Reporters Unity Treasurer Nahid Khan, Abu Ahmed Abbasi, along with madrasa teachers, students, local dignitaries, devotees and people from different classes and professions participated in the prayer and Milad mahfil. At this time, the soul of the late Haji Habibur Rahman was prayed for and special prayers were offered for the good health, longevity and success of former UNO Md. Khairul Islam in his future career.
Speakers at the mahfil said that Haji Habibur Rahman was a noble, religious and social worker. On the other hand, UNO Md. Khairul Islam has played an important role in the development and public welfare activities of Kalihati during his tenure. His dedication and people-friendly behavior have made a place in the hearts of people.
