Shahjalal,Panchagarh Correspondent : Panchagarh Government Girls High School, the only educational institution of Panchagarh district, is a traditional and reliable educational institution for female students. The school started its journey in 1956 AD. Innumerable talented and distinguished students were born from this school. Although the educational institution has been able to maintain the quality of education for a long time, the quality of education in the school has been continuously declining since the joining of Headmaster Khairul Anam Md. Aftabur Rahman Helali in mid-2023. In addition, various allegations have been established against various teachers of the school. The court sentenced a teacher named Mostafizur because of sensitive allegations. It has been alleged that the headmaster did not take necessary steps even after knowing about the incident. The teachers of this school conduct teaching activities as they wish. The teachers do not conduct teaching according to the time and syllabus. The main focus of the coaching business is to mentally torture the students if they do not take coaching from a specific teacher, and their marks in the exams are reduced. In this regard, the parents expressed their anger in the presence of the school president, Deputy Commissioner Md. Sabet Ali, at the parents’ meeting. The parents wanted to know from the president with whose permission the students took to the streets demanding the hanging of the teacher. Again, a few days later, with whose permission the students took to the streets demanding the release of the teacher. What is the reason for the students of the same institution taking to the streets with two types of demands? When the parents meet the headmaster, he does not treat the parents well. Most of the time, he is absent from the institution on various pretexts. In the 2025 academic year, 02 days have been taken from the students in the science laboratory. ICT classes are not held and they are not introduced to ICT-related equipment. Although there are 05 mobile projectors, multimedia classes are never held. The income from tiffin is about 14 lakh 40 thousand taka per year. Students pay for tiffin for 365 days. But the school is open for more than 120-130 days in a year. The average attendance is about 65%. These 1200 students are supposed to get quality tiffin with the money they pay for tiffin. The poor students of the village, who are 15-20 kilometers away from the school, attend school at 7 am. Many of these students are poor, they pay tiffin worth 05-10 taka. They embezzle about 7 to 8 lakh taka annually. At the rate of 1245 taka per student, about 15 lakh taka is earned from 1200 students. This money is deposited in the students’ code, although it was supposed to be spent in 20 sectors for the development of the students, it was not spent. They withdraw money at will using fake vouchers. Instead of buying science labs and ICT, furniture, they withdrew money using fake vouchers. The banking transactions of the institution were in Sonali Bank Limited, Panchagarh branch. The current headmaster closed the account number from Sonali Bank and opened an account number in Islami Bank Limited Panchagarh branch and he transacted as he pleased. Due to his monopoly corruption, the chain of command among the teachers has broken down. As a result, it is affecting the students, the poor students are being affected. When contacted in this regard, the head teacher Khairul Anam Md. Aftabur Rahman Helali, he skillfully avoided all the allegations against him.
