Faridpur RAB-8 arrested Masud Rana alias Fancy Masud alias Guli Masud (40), accused of 5 cases including murder, weapons and drugs, in Dayal Nagar area of Mijanpur Union of Rajbari Sadar Upazila. Faridpur RAB-8 filed a case in this regard at Rajbari Sadar Police Station.
He was arrested in a raid from his home on Monday (March 27) morning. KM Shaikh Akhtar, company commander of RAB-8 Faridpur camp, confirmed the matter in a press conference at noon.
During the arrest, a foreign pistol, a magazine, one round of ammunition, a knife and two SIM cards and a mobile phone were seized from Masud.
RAB-8 Faridpur camp company captain Lt. Commander KM Shaikh Akhtar said, based on secret information, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. A team of them led by Nazmul Haque conducted the operation. Intelligence members of RAB-8 were already keeping an eye on the arrested Guli Masud.
He also said that the main accused in the sensational Kausar murder case is Masood alias Fancy Masood. he is normal
He was a threat to maintaining the law and order situation and there was a panic about him in the public mind. RAB’s intelligence operations were ongoing on him.
