From the capital’s Gulshan-Banani Puja ground, the idol of Goddess Durga was taken to the Turag River in Ashulia for immersion.
On Thursday, September 2, 2025, at 3 pm, after immersion of the idol of Goddess Durga from the Banani Puja ground, the leaders of the Puja Committee gathered at 8 pm tonight at the Banani Puja Mandap ground. Later, the chief priest of Banani Durga Puja offered water of peace to everyone.
Present at the Banani Puja Mandap were Asim Kumar Joaddar, Chaitanya Kumar De Chayan, Tapan Kumar Saha, Ratan Kumar Saha, Bipul Kanti Das, Major Ashish Kumar Majumder (Retd), Banamali Mandal, Binoy Kumar Roy, Dr. Vidyut Kumar Saha, Nikhil Ranjan Saha, Chandan Biswas, Debashish Roy, women’s committee members Soma Saha, Jayanti Dutta, Shipra De, Purnima Vishakha, Rajshri Majumder, Anita Das and other leaders of the Puja Committee.
