The newly appointed administrator of Gazipur Zilla Parishad, Dr. Barrister Chowdhury Ishraq Ahmed Siddiqui, has inspected various development projects in Kaliakair Upazila. He has also provided assistance to the families of those killed and injured in the July movement and to the healthy families.
On Saturday afternoon, April 11, the cheques for these assistance were given at a meeting held at the Dak Bungalow premises of Kaliakair Upazila Parishad.
The event was attended by Kaliakair Upazila Executive Officer Upazila AHM Fakhrul Hossain, BNP Convener Norul Islam Sikder, Municipal BNP Convener Mamud Alam Sarkar, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Anwar Hossain and local leaders and activists.
After the exchange of views, the Zilla Parishad Administrator handed over financial assistance checks to three helpless families, including two July fighters and martyr families.
