Nadia Pathan Papon of Bijoynagar gets BNP nomination for reserved women’s seat

Nadia Pathan Papon, a girl from Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria, has got BNP nomination for reserved women’s seat in the National Parliament. Her name is at number 32 in the list signed by Central Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on the pad of Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP. Seeing her name in the nomination list, there is a tide of joy among BNP leaders and activists of Brahmanbaria and Bijoynagar.

Nadia Pathan Papon is the daughter of the late Anwar Hossain of Chandura village of the upazila and Syeda Nakhlu Akhter, a former member of Brahmanbaria Zilla Parishad.

Nadia Pathan Papon passed SSC from Daudpur High School in Bijoynagar upazila, HSC from Kazi Mohammad Shafiqul Islam College and completed her higher education from Dhaka Badrunnesa Government Women’s College.

It is known that she has been involved in political activities since 2000 as a member of Chandura Union Chhatra Dal. While studying at Badrunnesa Government Women’s College, she served as the General Secretary of Chhatra Dal. She was also the central leader of Chhatra Dal. She is currently serving as a member of the Dhaka Metropolitan South Branch of BNP. During the previous Awami League government, she was active in every movement and struggle. She also said that she was repeatedly attacked by the police and Chhatra League. She was also 100% optimistic about getting the nomination.

Nadia Pathan Papon told reporters that she has been active in BNP and Chhatra Dal politics for a long time. I have fought from the front lines in all movements and struggles. I have been the victim of repeated attacks and cases. I have received the love and companionship of Begum Khaleda Zia, the mother of democracy. Since I was active in the field during the party’s extremely difficult times, I was 100% sure of getting the nomination.

She also said that I want to work for the welfare of women and children who are behind in society. I know how many obstacles women have to overcome.
