In the financial year 2023-24, under the initiative of Kushtia Sadar Upazila Parishad and under the management of thirteen Union Parishads, agricultural incentive program aimed at increasing the cultivation and production of rabi season wheat, corn, mustard, sunflower, groundnut, winter onion, mung bean, lentil and kesari crops. Bangladesh Awami League Joint General Secretary and Member of Parliament of Kushtia Sadar 3 Constituency Mahbubul Alam Hanif inaugurated the seed and fertilizer distribution program and spoke as the chief guest at the farmers’ rally.
The program started at Sadar Upazila Auditorium on 17 October 2023 AD at 10 am. Upazila Chairman and General Secretary of Awami League Md. Ataur Rahman, Upazila Executive Officer Partha Pratim Sheel, agricultural officials, Awami League leaders, Chairman of 13 Union Parishads of Sadar Upazila, beneficiary farmers and farmers were also present. The important point of Kushtia city is the short discussion meeting on the construction of flyover at Mazampur Gate.
