A funeral was held in memory of late Shahidul Alam, principal of Adda Degree College, Barura, Comilla. President of Upazila Awami League and Vice President of Comilla D District Awami League Nachimul Alam Chowdhury Nazrul (MP) was the chief guest at the function presided over by Md. Monir Hossain, president of the school management committee, in the auditorium of Muggaon High School of Vauksar Union of Barura Upazila. Chairman of Vauksa Union Parishad Ahmed Jamal Masud was the special guest on this occasion, Barura Upazila Awami League General Secretary Md. Nasir Uddin Lincoln, Barura Municipality Awami League General Secretary and Municipal Mayor Md. Baktar Hossain Bakhtiar, Comilla D District Awami Jubo League member and former district council member Sohel. Samad, Awami League leader Aktaruzzaman Babu, Bauksar Union Awami League President Master Md. A. Malek, Upazila Awami League Legal Affairs Secretary Advocate Khandkar Maruf Hossain, Samaj Sevak Master Mahbubul Alam Masud, Upazila Awami Jubo League Joint Convener Ziaul Kausar, Barura Upazila Awami Svechsevak League Conference Md Shahjahan, member secretary of the preparatory committee, Shahinur Hossain Shaheen (Councillor), convener of Barura Municipality Awami Jubo League, members of the school management committee and dignitaries of the area were present. At the end of the discussion meeting, Milad and prayer were held to seek the forgiveness of the soul of the deceased.
