A special award was given to Mahabubur Rahman Patwari, the Central Chief Coordinator of the Human Rights Establishment and Implementation Organization and prominent businessman, in recognition of his significant contribution to creating public awareness about the harmful effects of drugs in society, his significant contribution to anti-drug activities, and his special contribution to human service.
 The Human Rights Establishment and Implementation Organization organized it at the National Press Club on Saturday. Joint Law Secretary Lokman Hossain, Additional Director of the Narcotics Control Department AKM Shawkat Islam and President of the Central Committee of the Intelligence Service Helal Khan were among the special guests.Â
Mention: Mahabubur Rahman Patwari, who completed his studies in the UK and Germany, has been conducting various meetings, seminars, social campaigns and public awareness activities in Bangladesh for a long time to make the youth aware of the dangers of drugs. This award is given in recognition of his tireless efforts in the service of humanity and his role in social welfare.
Regarding the award, Mahabubur Rahman Patwari said, “Building a drug-free society is not just the work of an individual or an organization, it is the collective responsibility of all of us. This recognition will inspire me to work for the welfare of the society with more enthusiasm and responsibility in the future.” He also said that currently in our country, social chaos, family unrest, heinous acts like rape are increasing due to the influence of drugs. I request the law enforcement agencies to bring them under the law and punish them severely instead of cooperating with the drug dealers identified in the society.Â
