Cheques for the funds allocated for the renovation work of various religious and public service institutions in the Mymensingh City Corporation area under the Rural Infrastructure Maintenance Program for the fiscal year 2025-2026 have been handed over.Â
City Administrator Rukunozzaman Rokon handed over checks to committee officials of 66 organizations at a function at the Shaheed Shahabuddin Auditorium of the City Corporation on Monday (July 12) morning.Â
Under this project, checks worth a total of Tk 7.1 million were distributed to 42 mosques, 14 madrasas, 5 temples, 2 schools, 2 clubs, and 1 orphanage.
City Administrator Rukunozzaman Rokon said that the government’s TR program will accelerate the infrastructure development and public welfare activities of religious and educational institutions. He called for the implementation of the project on time by using the allocated funds appropriately. The administrator also assured to stand by the institutions in case of any need.Â
City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Sumana Al Majeed, Regional Executive Officer Fouzia Nazneen, Chief Health Officer HK Debnath, Superintending Engineer Zahurul Haque, Junior Executive Officer Aminul Islam, Manas Biswas and other officials and officials of various religious and public service organization committees were present at the event.
