`Lalmonirhat A student died after falling from the school swing

A second class student named Shahadat Hossain (8) died after falling from the swing of the school in Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat.  After this incident, parents have demanded removal of dangerous toys from all schools.

The accident took place at Kisamat Chandrapur Government Primary School in Vadai Union of the upazila on Wednesday (August 30) at noon.  The deceased Shahadat Hossain was a second class student of that school.

He is the son of Mizanur Rahman of that area.

Teachers and locals said that the examination was going on in the school.

On Wednesday Shahadat Hossain took part in the oral examination of familiar environment.  He was playing with his friends on the swing placed in the school premises after completing the one-hour exam.

At that time, Shahadat was seriously injured after falling from the swing.

On receiving the news, the school teachers quickly took him to Aditamari Upazila Health Complex.  He died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital from there.

Abu Saeed Mostafa Kamal, head teacher of Kisamat Chandrapur Government Primary School, said that many students were playing without going home after the exam.  All the teachers were looking at the exam book.  When the accident happened, he was rushed to the hospital.

On hearing the news, the local parents came and demanded the removal of these dangerous toys from the school.  Police and Upazila Primary Education Officer reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.

Aditmari Upazila Primary Education Officer (Acting) Harekrishna Roy said, the incident will be investigated and action will be taken.
