The graduation parade of the 59th Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) batch of the Khulna Police Training Center was held at the parade ground of the training center on Thursday morning. 546 trainees of the 59th TRC batch participated in the graduation parade. Additional IG of Bangladesh Police Md. Mustafa Kamal was present as the chief guest at the event and inspected the beautiful parade and took the salute.
Later, he presented trophies to the meritorious trainees. Sheikh Abu Turab was selected as the best TRC in all subjects, academy and field, and Md. Shakil was selected as the best TRC in musketry among the 59th TRC batch.
In his speech to the newly trained constables, the Additional IG said, “The responsibility of ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property, maintaining law and order, and ensuring humanity and justice is now on your shoulders. I firmly believe that the knowledge, skills and values gained from this training will remain as a beacon in life. The Bangladesh Police Force continues to play an important role in maintaining internal security, peace and stability of the country. He said, the responsibility of the police is not only to maintain law and order, but also the role of the police in establishing order in society, preventing drugs, controlling traffic, protecting women and children and increasing social awareness is essential. At the beginning of the great Liberation War, the police members from Rajarbagh Police Lines were the first to resist the invading forces. The sacrifice and bravery of the police members in the Liberation War are our national pride. Today’s new generation is determined to build a happy, prosperous and discrimination-free Bangladesh.
He further said, the country’s leadership will be developed from among you in the future. They will gain the trust of the people and dedicate themselves to serving the country. They will move forward for the people with responsibility and honesty. Bangladesh Police members have been participating in the UN peacekeeping mission with good reputation for a long time. The chief guest instructed the youth to preserve the glorious history of the police, establish justice among people from all walks of life regardless of religion, caste, gender, and class, and reach the doorsteps of the people with legal services in their career. He urged the trainees to perform their duties with utmost skill and professionalism to keep the image of the country and the people bright.
Khulna Police Training Center Commandant Md. Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan, Jehanabad Cantonment Commandant Brigadier General Kazi Sajjad Hossain, Khulna Police Range DIG Md. Rezaul Haque, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md. Zulfiqar Ali Haider, senior military and civilian officials, university teachers, heroic freedom fighters and guardians of the trainees were present at the closing parade.
