BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has been hospitalized again after two months. He went to Evercare Hospital in the capital from his home in Gulshan on Wednesday evening for a routine health check-up. After that, he was admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors.
On Thursday morning, Khaleda Zia’s personal doctor A ZM Zahid Hossain said, “Madame (Khaleda Zia) has been admitted to the hospital for a physical examination and because of some of her symptoms, she has been admitted to the hospital on the decision of the medical board.” He will have to stay in the hospital for a few days for these tests.
Khaleda Zia went to the hospital in her own car from Gulshan home after 6:30 pm on Wednesday. At that time, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Mahila Dal President Afroza Abbas, Khaleda Zia’s younger brother Shamim Eskander’s son Abhik Eskander and many others were present.
Earlier, Khaleda Zia was admitted to the same hospital on the night of June 13. He had to stay under close observation of doctors for five days. 78-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from arthritis, diabetes, kidney and liver complications and heart disease for a long time.
Khaleda Zia has had to be treated in the hospital several times for various ailments since she was infected with corona in April 2021 while in captivity. In this, the doctors of his medical board also informed that he was suffering from bleeding in the digestive system and cirrhosis of the liver.
It is known that former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment under the medical board headed by Professor Sahabuddin Talukder at Evercare Hospital.
