A community meeting and awareness film screening was held on Wednesday (May 6) at the premises of KRC High School in Chandraghona Union of the upazila, organized by the Kaptai Information Office of Rangamati. This was organized under the project titled “Awareness Promotion Activities for the Development of Children, Adolescents and Women” of the Department of Mass Communication. The program was presided over by Assistant Information Officer, Delwar Hossain. Upazila Executive Officer, Ruhul Amin spoke as the chief guest. In his speech as the chief guest, he said that if adequate nutritious food is ensured for children, they will grow up healthy and strong and will be able to easily stay free from various infectious diseases. He also emphasized on ensuring the participation of children in the government vaccination program at the specified time. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, Dr. Ruihla Ang Marma and KRC High School Principal, Nur Nahar Begum. Before the discussion, a thematic awareness film was screened. Parents and locals of the school were present.
