Rabiul Hossain Chowdhury Ripon: A two-day training workshop on income-generating activities was held at the hospital’s hall room on Wednesday (November 19) at 10:30 am, organized by Chandraghona Christian Hospital Comprehensive Community Health Program in Kaptai, Rangamati. Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ruhul Amin officially inaugurated the training workshop as the chief guest. Upazila Livestock Officer Agriculturist Dr. Enamul Haque Hazari, Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md. Ahsan Habib, Upazila Assistant Information Officer Md. Delwar Hossain. The program was conducted by Comprehensive Community Health Program Manager Bijoy Marma. At that time, 71 TV’s Kaptai correspondent Ripon Marma and many others were present. In this income-generating workshop for the marginalized and poor people coming from different unions of Kaptai and Rangunia Upazilas, there was a detailed discussion on the challenges and things to do about how to become self-reliant by raising agriculture and poultry. The training was conducted by Upazila Livestock Officer Agriculturist Dr. Enamul Haque Hazari, Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md. Ahsan Habib. About 50 to 60 trainees participated in it.
Chief guest Md. Ruhul Amin said in his speech, “Agriculture and poultry farming are the most promising areas for the economic development of the marginalized communities today. Such income-generating training will play an important role in improving the quality of life of the people. Our expectation is that the participants will use the acquired knowledge to make themselves self-reliant.”
