Lost mobile recovered after taking responsibility, handed over to the owner

Kaptai Police Station has recovered a smartphone lost while walking in the Barghonia area of ​​Chandraghona Union in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati and handed it over to the owner.
The victim is Nezam Uddin (39), father – Zaker Ahmed, mother – Achia Khatun; permanent and current address – Fakirpara, Kalipur, Thana – Banshkhali, District – Chittagong. He said that on Tuesday (January 13, 2026) between 7 am and 11 am, while walking from Barghonia Tanchyanga Para to Barghonia Road intersection, his mobile phone fell without his knowledge. He filed a general diary (GD) in this incident at Kaptai Police Station. The lost mobile was a Tecno Spark 40 model, gray in color; IME number—352512131048413 and 352512136247580.
According to GD No. 668, dated 15/01/2026, the responsible officer ASI Harun identified and recovered the mobile phone in Dhaka with the help of information technology. Later, after completing the legal process, the mobile phone was handed over to the owner Nezam Uddin. Mahmudul Hasan Rubel, Officer-in-Charge of Kaptai Police Station, was present during the handover of the mobile phone. ASI Harun, with his responsibility and skill in using information technology, has set an example by recovering the lost mobile phone in a short time and returning it to the owner.
