 A 60-year-old woman named Hosne Ara Noori was hacked to death in Shiryug village of Shekerhat, Jhalkathi. The murder took place sometime during the day and night on Wednesday (October 18). Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohitul Islam confirmed the matter. Hosne Ara Nuri is the wife of deceased Jahangir Hossain of Shiryug village. She is a mother of two children. According to the police, the woman named Hosne Ara Nuri was hacked to death after entering the house by cutting the door last Wednesday night. Neighbors found Hosne Ara lying in a bloody state in the morning and informed the police. Then the police reached the spot and recovered his body. Noori lived alone in their homestead. Among his two children, son Milan lives in Chittagong due to his job and daughter Molly lives in Jhalkathi city with her husband. Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohitul Islam said, it is initially believed that Hosne Ara Noori may have been killed as they recognized them after entering the house by cutting the door to steal. The matter will be investigated and legal action will be taken.
