The Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance has distributed leaflets in Joypurhat demanding implementation of referendum verdict to protect the power and dignity of the people. As part of the central program, the program was inaugurated by the chief guest Fazlur Rahman Sayeed, MP for Joypurhat-1 constituency and district Jamaat Ameer.
District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Hasibul Alam Liton, City Jamaat Acting Ameer Mao: Saidur Rahman, Nayebe Ameer Mao: Abdur Rahim, Jamaat leaders Kawsar Hossain, SM Khizir Hayat, NCP District Joint Convener Engineer Golam Kabir, Organizing Secretary Ismail Hadi, July Fighter Hasibul Haque Sanjid and leaders of 11 party alliances were present at the time.
Chief guest Fazlur Rahman Sayeed said,
Jamaat is talking in and outside the parliament to implement the referendum verdict, the movement will continue with the people until this demand is implemented.
He also said that the BNP government has cheated the people by disobeying the referendum verdict. He demanded that the government accept the people’s referendum by taking the oath of the Constitutional Reform Council. He called on everyone to unite to protect the power and dignity of the people in implementing this demand.
