Newly appointed administrator Barrister Chowdhury Ishraq Ahmed Siddiqui has officially taken charge as the administrator of Gazipur District Council.
He took charge at the District Council office located in Rathkhola area of ​​Gazipur city on Wednesday (April 1) morning.
While taking charge, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Md. Nazrul Islam welcomed the new administrator with floral greetings. Officers and employees of various levels of the District Council were present at the time. Later, leaders and workers of various political, social and professional organizations greeted the new administrator with flowers at the District Council premises.
In a brief speech after taking charge, Barrister Chowdhury Ishraq Ahmed Siddiqui said that the ongoing development activities of Gazipur District Council will be further accelerated. Work will be done on a priority basis to improve the district’s infrastructural development, education, health and rural communication system. He also said that transparency and accountability will be ensured in the implementation of the project.
He also said that the District Council works for the welfare of the people. Therefore, development activities will be taken forward in coordination with public representatives, administration and local people. Development plans will be adopted according to the needs of each upazila of the district and initiatives will be taken to quickly implement long-standing unfinished projects.
At this time, the party leaders and workers present wished the new administrator well and wished him success in the overall development of the district. Those concerned expressed hope that a new momentum will be brought to the activities of the Gazipur District Council after he takes charge.
