International Nurses Day celebrated in Noakhali

Keeping in mind the theme of “Our nurses, our future, we need to empower nurses to save lives”, a colorful rally was held on the hospital road on the morning of May 12, followed by a discussion meeting on the premises of Noakhali General Hospital under the chairmanship of Abdullah Farooq, President of the Nurses Association (BNA) Noakhali District Branch. Professor Md. Saiful Islam, Principal of Noakhali Medical College, spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized by the Nurses Association Noakhali District Branch.

Dr. Md. Farid Uddin Chowdhury, Superintendent of Noakhali General Hospital, spoke as the special guest. District Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Dr. Md. Masum Akhter President-OGSB Noakhali Branch, Dr. Shayla Sultana (Jhuma) Principal MATSDHS; Noakhali, Dr. Monowar Hossain Talukder General Secretary DAB Noakhali District, Dr. Kamruzzaman Azad General Secretary Surgeon Association Noakhali, Farzana Begum Shimu Deputy Service Superintendent (Acting) General Hospital Noakhali, Nargis Akhter General Secretary Bangladesh Nurses Association (BNA) Noakhali. In his speech, President of Nurses Association Abdullah Farooq said that despite hundreds of adversities, fewer nurses are serving patients compared to the demand. He drew the attention of the guests present to fill the vacant posts along with the necessary overall cooperation of nurses. Finally, the day was inaugurated by cutting the cake.
