Illegal weapons of 59 BGB recovered in Bholahat border

A one-shooter gun and 1 round of bullets have been recovered in the operation of BGB in Volahat Simante of Chapainawabganj district.
On Saturday (September 16), Chapainawabganj Rahanpur Battalion 59 BGB raided Chamucha Guchch village under Bholahat BOP and recovered weapons. Commander of Rahanpur Battalion (59 BGB) Lt. Col. Golam Kibria confirmed the truth of the matter.
According to the press release, Chapainawabganj Rahanpur Battalion (59 BGB) under the jurisdiction of Chandshikar Company Commander Subedar Md. A special patrol team under the leadership of Mokhlesur Rahman recovered 01 one-shooter gun and 1 round of bullets wrapped in polythene and scotch tape in a hole adjacent to the fence of the house in Chamucha Guchch village inside Bangladesh. The process of handing over the recovered illegal weapon to Bholahat police station is ongoing.
In this regard, Commander of Rahanpur Battalion (59 BGB) Lt. Col. Golam Kibria said that special patrols are being conducted along with increasing operational activities in the border areas with the aim of implementing zero tolerance policy against arms, ammunition, drugs and smuggling.
