Huawei has implemented a 100 MW utility project to be completed in 2023 for integration into the national grid. Besides, the company has also implemented Bangladesh’s largest and first micro grid project with 22 MW hour ESS capacity in Manpura Upazila. At the same time, the organization has successfully implemented more than 72 solar rooftop projects in Bangladesh with its partners. In total, Huawei is implementing solar power projects with a total capacity of 132 MW by 2023 using Huawei Fusion solar inverters.
Huawei South Asia has highlighted its achievements in the renewable energy sector in 2023. Huawei highlighted these achievements in an event titled ‘Huawei Solar Annual Ceremony 2023’ organized in the capital recently. Representatives and senior officials from more than 62 partner companies of Huawei participated in the event.
Among the projects implemented by Huawei are Buet, Meghna Group, Akiz Bashir Group, Rising Group, Envoy Group, Fakir Group, Kazi Farms, Japan Tobacco International (JTI) and various projects of Walton Group. The implementation of all these projects highlights Huawei’s contribution to the solar energy sector.
Liang Weixing (Jack), Managing Director of Huawei South Asia Digital Power Business Division, said, “Huawei is working with Bangladesh to achieve the target of generating 40 percent of electricity from renewable energy sources by 2041. To achieve this goal, the technology company is providing the latest technology, solutions and products in South Asia. Our digital power products are gaining popularity in the market. And our achievement in 2023 is a reflection of this popularity. We are working to contribute more in this sector.”
Huawei recognized partner organizations in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company category at the event. Huawei’s top 18 EPC partner organizations have earned this award for demonstrating outstanding performance in project capabilities. 10 companies were recognized for making significant contributions to the solar market through Huawei solutions. Besides, two ‘Distributor Awards’ are also given for contribution in the field of distribution by showing exceptional performance.
Huawei manufactures residential smart PV & ESS solutions, C&I smart PV & ESS solutions, and utility smart PV solutions. These solutions include Huawei’s solar inverters and green power solutions for IPPs, rooftops, data centers and mobile towers.
