The police recovered the hanging body of a young man named Mizanur Rahman (36) from South Rajapur Balaibari area of Rajapur Upazila Sadar of Jhalkathi. Mizanur Rahman is the son of Noor Hafez Faraji of that area. Mizanur committed suicide by hanging a rope with a hook on the floor of his house at around 8 pm yesterday. Rajapur Thana police recovered Mizan’s body at Khabarpey at around 10 pm. The victim’s mother said that Mizanur was in a state of human imbalance for a long time. Despite being treated at various places including Pabna, Mijanu did not fully recover. Due to Mizanur’s illness, his wife left him and lived with his two children at his uncle’s house in Rajapur.
Rajapur police station officer-in-charge Pulak Chandra Roy said, as there was no complaint in the incident, Mizanur’s body was handed over to his family and a case of wrongful death was registered at Rajapur police station.
