A group of enterprising young people are trying to make Mohammadpur, one of the busiest and most talked-about areas of Dhaka, an area that was once criticized for various negative incidents, known anew through positive activities. They are carrying out humanitarian and social activities under the banner of “Mohammadpur Volunteer Organization”.

The members of the organization are regularly distributing food to street children, which is bringing some relief to their lives. At the same time, they are finding sick and helpless elderly people lying on the streets and arranging for their treatment – which is a truly commendable initiative.

The organization is also providing essential food and daily necessities to people living in orphanages and old age homes. To ensure the safety of the society, they have formed a robbery prevention team, which is increasing safety and awareness among the locals.
They also have a special focus on the environment. They have taken the initiative to green up various vacant areas of Mohammadpur by planting trees, which is a positive step for the future.

All in all, “Mohammadpur Volunteer Organization” is no longer just a name—it is a symbol of change. This humanitarian initiative of the youth proves that it is possible to change the image of society if there is a will.
