Freedom fighters held a press conference at Sakhipur Muktijoddha Complex in Tangail on Sunday at 11:00 am demanding the dismissal and punishment of the investigation officer. Freedom fighter commander Bir Muktijoddha Mosharraf Hossain Khan Gurgaon read out a written statement at the press conference. He said that Judge Court Tangail Case No. 116/25. The plaintiff in the case is Md. Aziz Talukder, father of the deceased Muktar Ali Talukder, resident of Gargobindapur Sakhipur Tangail, the defendant is Md. Shamsul Haque, father of the deceased Hurmuz Ali, resident of Sakhipur, Motalib, father of Abdul Baset alias Noaisha, Khorshed alias Khushru, father of the deceased Habibar Sikder, both residents of Gargobindapur Sakhipur. Plaintiff’s document no. 6742, dated 05/04/1979, the amount of land is 3 percent, one percent in tatka. The names of the recipients of the said document 6742 are Md. Muktar Ali Talukder, father-in-law of Jonab Ali, Abul Hossain, father-in-law of deceased Abdul Sabur, Abu Taher Mia, father-in-law of deceased Abed Ali, all residents of Gargobindpur 115, SA Khatian no. 282, Sem: Me: Dag no. 108, the total amount of land is 03 percent. Court Commissioner Abdul Latif came to investigate on January 17. He left with the plaintiff’s side without taking the documents of both parties and the statements of the plaintiff and defendant. Azizul Talukder, brother of the late former MP, agriculturist Shawkat Momen Shajahan of Tangail-8 (Basail-Sakhipur) constituency, has forcibly occupied the house of the building built with the money of the freedom fighters. Azizul, angry at the protest and the suspension of rent, filed a case in Tangail Court. He is even obstructing the investigation. Investigating Officer Abdul Latif has taken the plaintiff’s side in the name of investigation. We freedom fighters demand the removal of the investigating officer, punishment and a fair and impartial investigation. When the investigating officer contacted Court Commissioner Abdul Latif on this matter, he expressed his inability to give any statement.
