In Shibganj of Chapainawabganj district, 600 poor and poor eye patients have been provided free eye treatment services. Among them 350 cataract patients have been selected.
On Saturday (October 28) morning, Shibganj Upazila Satrajitpur Ophthalmology Committee organized free eye treatment under the management of eye hospital managed by Chapainawabganj branch of Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association.
The program was presided over by local social worker Golam Mostafa, and Abdul Hakim, general secretary of Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association, was present as the chief guest. The special guest was the president of Satrajitpur Shah Niamatullah Shishu Sadan Orphanage, Mr. Golam Kibria. Also present were the treasurer of the association Matiur Rahman Barjahan, eye hospital administrative officer Yusuf Ali, Barjahan, eye hospital Dr. Touhidul Islam Sujan and other officials of the hospital were present.
The administrative officer of the eye hospital said that 350 cataract patients have been selected. He said that they will be operated free of charge.
