SB-Sujon, Lalmonirhat : Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu said, “Everyone must work together to eradicate drugs. It is possible to build a drug-free society with the combined efforts of the government, voluntary organizations, social and political leaders and the common people.
He said these things while distributing saplings among members of 25 voluntary organizations at a program organized on Saturday, August 1 at noon at the Lalmonirhat Zilla Parishad Hall Room under the theme “Beautify the country by planting trees, Bangladesh first”.
The minister said that in addition to tree planting, volunteers should play a leading role in preventing social crimes such as drugs, gambling, casinos, child marriage and dowry.
He alleged that a large section of the youth was affected by the free entry of drugs through the border during the previous government. From this situation He emphasized on increasing public awareness and building social resistance in the transition.
Workers of various voluntary organizations spoke at the event. Deputy Commissioner HM Rashedul Haque Pradhan was also present at the event.
District Council Administrator AKM Mominul Haque presided over the event.
