Ershad Hasan Receives ‘Sundarban Tourism Club Award 2025’

Entertainment Desk: Renowned Bangladeshi actor, trainer, and director Md. Ershad Hasan has recently been honored with the ‘Sundarban Tourism Club Award 2025’ in recognition of his outstanding contribution to acting. This prestigious award is seen as a testament to his long-standing dedication to the arts and his popularity among audiences.

Md. Ershad Hasan is equally skilled in stage plays, street dramas, mime performances, and television roles. His stage performances are praised for their deep understanding of the script, natural portrayal of characters, and remarkable connection with the audience. On television, his roles in numerous serials and dramas have left a lasting impression on viewers.

As a trainer and director, Hasan mentors the new generation of actors. He has earned acclaim not only in Bangladesh but also on international stages for his versatile performances.

The Sundarban Tourism Club stated that the award recognizes Hasan’s multifaceted contributions and serves as an inspiration for young artists. Club president Shamimul Ahsan commented,
“Md. Ershad Hasan’s acting skills and dedication are not only exemplary for an artist but also enrich our culture and the creative community.”

Hasan has previously received several accolades, including the Television Reporters Association of Bangladesh (TRAB) Star Award 2025, Hiron-Kiron Natya Padak 2024, and the internationally recognized ‘Uchimura Award-2008’ Group Medal.

Expressing his gratitude, Hasan said,
“This award is a tremendous honor for me. It will inspire me to further my work and create even stronger connections with my audience.”

The award ceremony was held on September 12, 2025, at the Bishwo Sahitya Kendra Auditorium. Cultural figures, social activists, and popular artists, including legendary Bangladeshi actress Anwara Begum, attended the event. The chief guest was Ekushey Padak-winning Nazrul Sangeet artist Fatema Tuz Johra. Special guests included producer and director, freedom fighter Delwar Jahan Jhantu; former president of Bangladesh Film Directors Association Kamrul Hasan Darpan; President of Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity (BACHAS) Md. Jahangir Kamal; publisher of Dainik Rangamati; and renowned film and television actress Rumana Islam Mukti. Tayebur Rahman Khan, member of BACHAS, was also present.

The event was chaired by Shamimul Ahsan, President of the Sundarban Tourism Club.
