A teacher in Pansha, Rajbari, severely whipped a student named Md. Tachin Munshi (13) for not studying. The accused teacher Md. Ahad Hossain has been blocked by locals in this incident.

The incident took place at Bagduli High School in the upazila around 11:30 am on Tuesday (May 12). The injured student is undergoing treatment at Pangsha Upazila Health Complex.

The injured student Md. Tachin Munshi is the son of Md. Sabuj Munshi in Malanchi area of ​​Mourat Union. He is an eighth grade student at Bagduli High School.

On the other hand, the accused teacher Md. Ahad Hossain is a resident of Kharkharia village in Mrigi Union of Kalukhali Upazila. He is a social science teacher at Bagduli High School.

According to school sources, during class, the accused teacher first whipped the student for not studying 10 to 15 times. Later, he threw the student on the floor of the classroom and kicked him inhumanly. At that time, the victim’s classmates rescued the victim. When the matter came to light, locals and parents gathered at the school.

At that time, the headmaster locked the accused teacher in the library for her safety.

Md. Siam Mia, a classmate of the injured student, said, “Sir, he used to beat us with a cane twice for not studying. But Tachin beat him more. At that time, Tachin asked why he beat me more than them.” After saying this, Sir started beating Tachin on the bench. Later, he threw him on the floor and kicked him. When we tried to stop him, he beat us again.

The accused teacher Md. Ahad Hossain said, “I first beat Tachin because he did not study. When Tachin later picked up my mother and abused me, I lost my temper and beat him. But I did not understand that this would happen. I myself am remorseful. I made a mistake.”

The injured student’s father, Munshi Zahidul Islam Sabuj, said, “When I received the news, I saw multiple whipping marks on my son’s chest. Blood was pouring from each injury. The son has been sent to the hospital for treatment. I am coming to the school to find out whether my son’s crime is more or less than the injury.”

In this incident, the school’s headmaster Md. Abdul Khalek (acting) said, “Whatever the reason, it was not right for the teacher to be beaten like this. I am appealing to the teacher to calm the situation immediately. I have been asked to show the reason within the next three working days. During this time, the teacher will refrain from all school activities.”
