Mohammad Masud Majumdar: The 26th founding anniversary of cultural organization Dhruvatara was celebrated in a festive atmosphere through various arrangements.
This founding anniversary festival was organized at the Comilla District Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Sunday (August 2, 2026) at 4:30 pm. At the event, distinguished Nazrul researcher Professor Dr. Ali Hossain Chowdhury, who won the National Nazrul Award 2025, was presented with a commemorative plaque by the president of the event, Ekramul Haque.
The event was presided over by Dhruvatara President Ekramul Haque, distinguished Nazrul researcher Professor Dr. Ali Hossain Chowdhury, former president of Comilla Press Club Abul Hasnat Babul, principal Shafiqur Rahman, district cultural officer SNT Kamran Hasan, president of Comilla Metropolitan Police Service musician Ishtiaq Ahmed Pallab, eminent tabla player Abhijit Sinha Mithu. President of Barura Thana Press Club Professor Masud Majumder delivered the welcome speech at the event.
The event was attended by the president of the organization, local cultural figures and invited guests. Recalling the 26-year journey of Dhruvatara, the speakers highlighted the contribution of this organization to the cultural arena of Comilla. At the end of the discussion, cake cutting and a cultural evening were held, where pleasant music was performed by local artists.
