Md. Nur Islam Nayan, Dinajpur Bureau Chief: Keeping in mind the slogan “Keep yourself clean, keep the municipality clean”, on Thursday, November 6, Dinajpur Municipality organized the cleanliness drive-2025 with the participation of local people with the overall support of World Vision Bangladesh, ESDO, Astha Sangstha and Deepti Foundation.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Riaz Uddin, Senior Manager of World Vision Bangladesh Dinajpur Area Coordination Office Sebastian Purification, Senior Assistant Program Coordinator of ESDO Shah Md. Aminul Haque, Founder Chairman of Astha Social Development Organization Nahid Parveen Mukti, Project Manager of Deepti Foundation Hanna Roy, Secondary Education Officer Md. Saifuzzaman and President of UNDC Akram Hossain Bablu spoke as guests of honor at the inauguration ceremony. While inaugurating the cleanliness drive with the participation of the local people, Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam said, not everything can be done with laws. People need to be made aware of the issue of cleanliness. For this, everyone’s participation and social movement are needed. ADC (General) Md. Riaz Uddin said, everyone’s cooperation is needed to keep this country and this city clean. Geo-NGO organizations should come forward in this regard. World Vision Bangladesh Dinajpur AP Senior Manager Sebastian Purification said, World Vision Dinajpur AP office has already started working on cleanliness. We have been making people aware of not throwing plastic, waste, garbage anywhere. In addition, we are implementing various programs to build an eco-friendly village. After the inauguration, the guests and local people participated in the program of cleaning the garbage on both sides of the road under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam.
