Department wise orientation of new students held at Noakhali University of Science and Technology

Department-wise orientation meeting (orientation) of the 1st year undergraduate (honors) class of the 2025-26 academic year has been held at Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NSTU).

Orientation programs were organized in various departments and institutes of the university on Sunday (19 July 2026). The chief guest was the Vice-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor (Routine Responsibilities) of the university, Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam.

At this time, Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam visited the reception programs of new students organized in various institutes and departments of the university and exchanged views with the students. He congratulated the new students and said, “Admission to the university marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life, so you should utilize this time appropriately and devote yourself to acquiring knowledge, developing skills, and developing creative thinking.” Stating that the complete development of a student is possible through involvement in research, innovation, co-curricular activities and volunteer activities in addition to the curriculum, he said that discipline, mutual respect and the rules and regulations of the university must be followed properly.

He further mentioned that the teachers, officers and employees of the university will always be sincere in the cooperation and welfare of the students and above all, the university’s Pro-Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor (Routine Responsibilities) Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam expressed the hope that every step of the university life of the new students will be joyful, successful and worthwhile.

The orientation program organized at the institutes and departments was attended by the deans of various faculties, directors of the institutes, chairmen of the departments, teachers, officers, employees and new students, among others. At this time, the new students were welcomed with flowers by the department.
