A 5-year-old boy named Mohammad died after being run over by a reckless auto in Bhola’s Charfassion. On Monday (September 4) at noon, the child Mohammad died on the road adjacent to Government Primary School No. 2 of Ewajpur Ward No. 6 of Shashibhushan Police Station of Upazila.
The deceased child is said to be the son of Ahmed Hussain of Western Para of Bhola city. Shasibhushan police station sub-inspector SI Sajedul Islam confirmed the death and said that the child Mohammad had come to visit various houses. On Monday, while Nanu was returning home from Shasibhushan Bazar in a battery-powered auto-rickshaw with her Nanu, when another auto-rickshaw hit the road at a reckless speed, the child was seriously injured. After receiving the information, the police and locals rescued the child and took him to the Charfassion Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor in charge declared him dead.
Shashibhushan police station officer-in-charge (OC) M. Enamul Haque said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. However, as there was no complaint from the family of the deceased, the body was handed over to the relatives.
