The covered van of Kazi Farm Group lost control from Chapainawabganj Bishwa Road highway and entered SM Confectionery shop in Shahneyamtullah College Market. The incident took place on Tuesday (04 April) at around 3 pm. According to local residents of Shahneymatullah College area and eyewitnesses, it is believed that the accident happened because the driver fell asleep while the covered van of Kazi Farm Group was moving. However, if the incident happened during the day, there would have been a loss of life. Ismail, owner of MS Confectionery of Shahneymatullah College Market, quoting eyewitnesses, said that the covered van loaded with chickens lost control while turning from the Shantimore highway of the district city and went straight into the college market store. He said that the store’s fridge, showcase, shutter IPS goods and goods worth more than 06 lakhs have been damaged.
Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sajjad Hossain said that a covered van transporting chickens of Kazi Farm Group entered a shop at Shahneyamtullah College on Bishwa Road. The driver and assistant helper are absconding in this incident. He said that legal measures are under process in this regard.
