Providing free medical services on the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu’s 103rd birth anniversary and National Children’s Day in Chapainawabganj with the slogan “Sight is the right of all, eye care for all”.On Friday (March 17, 2023) morning, a discussion meeting and prayer ceremony was organized on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary and National Children’s Day at the eye hospital building run by the Chapainawabganj branch of the Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association located in the district town of Baligram. Abdul Hannan, executive member of Bangladesh National Blind Welfare Association, presided over the event.  Abdul Hakim, General Secretary of Bangladesh Jatiya Andha Kalyan Samiti and President of District Branch of Sheikh Russell Memorial Social Welfare Association, attended as the chief guest and spoke on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary and National Children’s Day. Executive member Kamal Uddin Master, Administrative Officer Mr. Yusuf Ali, Accountant Abdul Mobin were present at this time. Eye Hospital Dr.  Touhidul Islam Sujan and Dr. Jahangir Alam and others. Besides, senior vice-president Musa and general secretary Zahir Raihan of Sheikh Russell Memorial Social Welfare Organization were also present.
Chief guest Abdul Hakim speaking at the discussion meeting on the birth anniversary of the child and National Children’s Day said that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day, 200 poor children between the ages of 01 to 10 years are being provided free medical care. He also said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman struggled for the rights of the land and people of this country. He spent 14 years of his life in Pakistan’s prison for the liberation of the Bengali nation. Twice faced death on the gallows. But he said these things that he never bowed down to the question of self-respect and the rights of the Bengali nation.
