Cat’s Home is a trusted name for cat lovers in Comilla. Here, cat parents leave their pets at Cat’s Home when they go somewhere. They do not have to pay any cost for this. In addition, a vet visits Cat’s Home every month to treat cats.
Currently 20 including Nawab, Simba, Pejkuni, Pushpa, Ruud Gullit, Banjama, Vinicius, Jack, Minu, Duke, Camellia, Ronaldo, Priscilla, Mbappe, Muezja and some guests.
Drishtanta Foundation, Comilla along with various social works for the love of animals conducted its first medical camp on 07th December 2022 and provided treatment to around 40 cats and dogs. So far, more than 550 dogs and cats have been treated in 11 camps. Rescued dogs and cats are treated here for free. Vet Maruf Hasan Imran provided treatment with some concessions due to humanitarian reasons. Drishtanta Foundation, Comilla is organizing this medical camp for the love of animals.
Mohammad Saif Uddin Rani, the owner of Cat’s Home, said that after seeing 2 cat adoption posts on social media, he became interested in petting cats. By contacting a doctor, he adopted 2 cats named Nawab-Simba and started petting cats.
He also said that initially he collected a few cats from Comilla, Narayanganj, Birulia in Savar, Sheorapara in Mirpur as a hobby, but the number of cats is currently 15 to meet the requests of some people. Sometimes parents of endangered cats leave their beloved pets at Cat’s Home as a safe haven. For this, any stay, food, treatment is free. No cost is taken from anyone.
Cat lover Lucky Rahman said there are few good cat doctors in Comilla. Moreover, vets were not available to perform the surgery. Cat’s Home Camping at Cat’s Home makes cat parents more aware of cat treatment.
Another cat lover Shayla Shila said, we rescue cats and dogs when we see them in helpless condition. Treatment after rescue was difficult. Cat’s Home Being a camp at Cat’s Home, we get treatment free of charge.
Vet Maruf Hasan Imran said, seeing Saif Uddin Rani’s brother’s post on social media, he answered his call for humanitarian reasons. He was impressed by the sincerity of their guardians towards pets in Comilla.
Inshallah, I will work for these helpless animals who cannot talk about their sufferings so that they do not die without treatment or due to wrong treatment. Drishtanta Foundation, Comilla has plans to open a medical center for these animals with support. Many teams work to rescue helpless animals across the country. Although the team has sponsors in many places, the team working in Comilla does not have such a sponsor. Cannot buy necessary equipment due to lack of money. They have to arrange the money themselves and do rescue work. Saif Uddin Rani of Drishtanta Foundation, Comilla and Cat’s Home appealed to rich people to sponsor the rescue team and stand by the helpless animals.
