Election Commissioner Rasheda Sultana said, if anyone who enjoys government benefits participates in the election campaign, the candidature of the candidate who is campaigning will be cancelled.
He said these things in a separate meeting on the occasion of the 6th upazila election with the candidates and election-related administration and presiding officers at the Lalmonirhat District Commissioner’s conference room on Saturday (April 28) afternoon.
Earlier, he held a meeting with senior officials of four districts from 10 am to 3 pm.
Rasheda Sultana said that the Election Commission wants a fair election without violence.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahbub Zaman, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Saiful Islam, 15 BGB Commander Lt. Col. Mofazzal Hossain Akand and others were present in the exchange meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ullah.
